Hi All,
Just a week to the next Salsa night at the Windsor and as usual we have a packed night of activities. As something different we are going to be kicking off the night with a pulse and rhythm workshop, we have invited guest teacher Steve Davis to give a Latin rhythm class from 8.00 - 9.00. The main component of salsa music is the rhythm of the clave and this class will give you the chance to understand it better. The class should be a bit of fun!
Numbers are limited so it’s a first come first served basis, to reserve a place you need to send me an email before Saturday 6th February.
After the din of the drumming has died down, the dancing will then start about 9:30 as normal, with guest DJ, Danny James, playing the best of salsa music.
Mean while downstairs Piret has organised a full blown Milonga for the whole night rather than just a couple of hours. The Tango will start from 9pm and finish at 1am. This is the first time we have devoted
the downstairs room to a whole evening of a Milonga and we are excited to have wide range of Guest DJ’s lined up for the evening. Along with the support from BATS and some Tango dancers from Dublin the evening will hopefully be a great success.

Jose's BIO:
Originally from El Salvador, Jose Valencia is an International Latin Ballroom dance champion, Salsa champion, actor, choreographer and instructor based in Los Angeles. Influenced by his Latin roots, Jose began his quest in the world of dance at the age of 10.
At the age of 20 he decided to change direction and focus to become an International Latin Ballroom Champion and Salsa Champion. Five years later Jose was a five-time U.S. National Champion, had appeared on television shows such as Dance Fever, 30 sec to Fame, KCET Christmas Special, So You Think You Can Dance and America Got Talent.
At the same time Jose has been awarded 1st Place Champion as an International Latin Ballroom Competitor at Nevada Star Ball, California Open, Embassy Ball, WSF and was the Finalist at The Mayan World Salsa Championship Competition.
In 2007 Jose made his debut in the movie “First Date” as the principal dancer and choreographer, and was lead dancer and choreographer in Shakira’s music video.
Since then Jose has been traveling the world and took center stage as a soloist performing live at L.A. Salsa Congress, Sydney Salsa Congress, Dublin Salsa Congress, Galway Salsa Congress, Vancouver Salsa Congress, Sweden Salsa Congress, Gil More Concert, Tribute to “El Cantate”.
Jose’s commitment, discipline, dedication and passion for the arts and performances not only have contributed to his own achievements and success, but also have influenced and inspired others to go after their potential and full self-expression
