New lindy Hop Swing classes will be starting this Tuesday in McHughs with Sajles Šinkovec. Sajles is a dancer, dance teacher and choreographer from New York and is considered to be the founder of the Slovenian swing community. He will be staying in Belfast for a while and this is great opportunity to have classes with such accomplished swing teacher.

We will introduce a new practice session before the beginners classes. This will be an informal time where people can practice and get help with there moves. It will also give us feedback on anything people are having problems with :)

| We have arranged for Nestor and Monica Castillo to come up to Belfast to give four workshops in August.
The workshops are on Fridays at 6:50 pm in An Droichead beginning on 11th August and running to 1st September. The cost of the whole package is £40 and includes a practica after each class.

Due to the football world cup, the room in the King`s Head is used on the next three mondays. As this is quite a long break, and as most of you go on a holiday during the summer, we decided to have a summer break in the class for June, July and August, and restart it with renewed energy in September. | Hi everyone
Just a quick update on Saturday’s fundraiser.
Thanks you to everyone who made the effort to attend – all 87 of you! I hope that you all agree that it was fun. As always, these nights would not be so successful if it wasn’t for the support of the Salsa teachers, so a big 'Thank you!' to them all for promoting the evening.
The total raised on Saturday for The Welcome Centre was £390 which will be used to help fight homeles...more |

Just a wee update and I apologise for the delay in sending this out.
The next fundraiser will be held on Saturday 2nd August in Duke’s Hotel, Botanic Avenue. We are returning to the usual venue for what we hope will be a dance-filled night and we especially look forward to seeing some of the new faces who took up the challenge at the ‘Day of Salsa’ in May.

It’s July and some of the Salsa Nights will be taking a short holiday.
However, there is a new class starting in Carrickfergus as part of the Salsa night in the Wind Rose.

Derry Spring Fest From Clare Brady |

Just an update on the festival for you.
There is a change in two of the workshops on the Saturday. The Improvers will now start at 2.00pm and the Intermediates will be at 12.45pm (we have just switched them around).
Also there will be a FREE tour of Derry on the Saturday from 6.00-7.00pm. If anyone is interested please let either myself of Martina know.

The first is on Friday the 14th in the Odyssey Pavilion and will take the form of a number of couples giving demonstrations choreographed by Emilio (Assuca Salsa).
